My new love

Our new coffee table arrived yesterday. Handmade in the Peak District from a sustainable source of timber, no less.

I'm very pleased with it and keep popping into the lounge to admire it.

I must buy some coasters this weekend.

Love that! It looks solid. And you can do a million different looks with that piece. Great choice!

Sounds like you and I are going through similar events right now. I'm doing some new living room furniture and am out looking at sofas later today. My 6'3" husband has to sit in everything before I can make a final decision. So it may be a long day.... :)

Yes, I'm pretty pleased with it - it looks just like in the picture - very solid but simple. It was surprisingly difficult to find something I liked though - I had my heart set on real wood and most things I saw were made of veneer instead.

Good luck with the sofas. Ours just arrived last week, months after we ordered it - I'd almost forgotten what it was like.

I know - veneer is almost unavoidable at this point. Even the pricier things seem to be veneer or particle board covered by a thin slice of real wood. Ugh.
