A conversation with my mother revealed that in her youth, someone said she looked like Gina Lollobrigida. Which set me thinking about how I have been told I look like.
I have been compared to the following people:
Happy with that so long as its not the male one.
Didn't mind this. (It is very hard to find a photo of her pre-whatever it is she has had done to herself in recent years)
Less pleased with this one.
Sophie Ellis Bextor
Confused by this one.
This was meant as an insult I think.
The smaller one if you don't know - there are no photos of him on his own! Perhaps not as insulted by this as I should be. My friend who fancied him and had a photo of him next to her bed was more disturbed by it than me.
This is the worst. I wouldn't have minded so much if they had said James Bolam, at least he was the cool one.
Suffice to say I don't think I look like any of them.
Who have you been told you look like?

YEARS ago (for both of us), Kelli LeBrock (actress/Woman in Red)...and Joan Jett (rocker).
At the time, I didn't mind the LeBrock comparison, but somehow I've fared better than her with age, so I wouldn't appreciate the comparison now. :)
As for Joan Jett, I never really quite got that one.
Mine are rather shameful and I cringe at the thought of resembling either...
Barbara Streisand - it was 1986 and I was the bus on my way home from the hairdressers after having a perm and the bus driver told me she was his favourite actress/singer...
Margaret from Brookside - someone at university actually refused to believe I was not her and, much to my annoyance, insisted on calling me Margarget for the best part of 3years...even though that was her character name!
I'm sure there's more but for some reason these stick in my head...can't think why...
