Bearing Fruit

A couple of weeks ago, the first tomatoes appeared on my tomato plants. Yesterday, I noticed that one of them had turned red, so now it looks like an actual tomato. Which of course, is what it is.

Last night I dreamt we harvested the tomatoes and they were full of insects on the inside. I was trying to put a brave face on it and still eat it, much to the horror of everyone else present in the dream. I'm hoping this wasn't a prophecy, but equally I'm not sure I want it to be an allegory either.

Check out your toms!

Some people believe that dreams contain omens for the future, others believe that it's just your subconscious having a bit of a play - maybe trying to solve a few problems along the way.

Sorry, don't do Freud. But I'm sure he'd say you were dreaming about sex. Wasn't it the Victorians who thought tomatoes were the fruit of lurve?

Analysing your dream: I'd say you were worried about your tomatoes tasting as good as they look.

I see they're blooming at last then! Must be nice growing your own stuff.

I'm very jealous - after my tomatoes on the plant on the kitchen windowsill last month, the ones outside are all very green still.

Since Sunday, a few more have started to turn red! According to my gardening guru, I have to wait until they soften before I pick them though and they are still pretty hard, but perhaps by the weekend I'll know whether they are full of insects!
