The White Stuff

Today's plan to do some gardening has been put on hold because it has snowed.

April, spring should be well under way and here we are with snow. I don't think I've ever seen snow on a palm tree before.

The children next door loved it. They were giving little squeals of what could only be described as glee.

So the garden will have to wait. I predict a day of tea and biscuits instead.

  1. It's funny old weather, SandDancer... We went for a drive to the Surrey Hills – the snow was pretty deep in places. It was *cold* – I can't believe I was wandering around at home in a vest-tee on Friday!

    No gardening for me either...

  3. Ever seen snow on the beach? It happened a couple of years ago, near the town where I live now. Quite an impressive view it was, I'm sorry I couldn't find any better pic online.

  4. Lady S, I must be getting old, but in 1963 there wasn't just snow on the beach...the bloody sea froze!

  5. Haha! It's not you getting old, cogidubnus, what you say is a fact; but for me, living in southern Spain, having seen snow on the beach...that's something you remember for life! :)
